Presents and Cake

We started with presents for Eleanor's birthday.  She needed a little help at first to know what to do, but after a couple minutes she was having lots of fun opening her gifts.

Testing (or maybe tasting) everything out.

Eleanor's teddy bear from the boys.  She seemed to like it.  :)

Eleanor loved us singing to her.

She seemed pretty interested in the cake at first, but when she actually got the chance to dig in she only gave it a little poke.

The plate was more taste than the cake apparently.

Happy Birthday to our sweet girl!

Birthday BBQ

It was such a beautiful day on Eleanor's birthday that we decided to have a little family bbq to celebrate.

Eleanor really enjoyed the cheetos.

Eleanor is One!

We had a little (okay, maybe it was big) photo shoot on Eleanor's birthday.  I couldn't help it.  She was looking super cute and it was a beautiful day outside.  And turning a year older is always a good reason to get the camera out and take lots of pictures, so hopefully you'll enjoy the many faces, smiles and giggles of  little Miss Eleanor Rosemary.

Birthday Pancakes

Here are a couple pictures of of Eleanor eating her birthday pancakes.  She didn't actually consume much of her breakfast, but she had a lot of fun trying.  It was definitely a fun start to the special girl's big day.

First Haircut

Eleanor's hair is starting to get long.  Some of the front is long enough to pull up into pig tails and pony tails.  As a mommy of two boys it has been a lot of fun doing her hair.

Because her hair has been getting longer the back has started to look a little scraggly and so a couple weeks ago we got out the scissors and gave Eleanor her first haircut.

I was really surprised how much older she looked after cutting her hair.  Soon we will have a big ONE year old!

Eleven Months

Here is little Miss Eleanor's eleven month picture.  She is still as cheeky as ever and is very close to walking on her own.  She has the cutest biggest smile and silly little laugh.  She likes to get into all of mommy's kitchen cupboards and has mastered the stairs.  She gives really nice cuddles and is getting pretty good a blowing raspberries.  We love this little girl to pieces!

Dying Eggs

A day or two before Easter we dyed some eggs.  The boys had a lot of fun dying eggs and Eleanor entertained herself while we were decorating.

Easter Bonnets

Emerson's school had an Easter bonnet parade just before the school break and so the week before we spent a couple days making and decorating Easter bonnets.  I learned a lot of things about making cardboard hats and what we will do if we ever make Easter bonnets again (like make sure the whole fits the child's head before you piece everything together).  But the boys had a lot of fun (and that's what really matters).

The boys and their finished bonnets.

Emerson's bonnets won first place for his class in the parade.  He was very excited

We Love the Temple

We spent the night at the Preston temple about a month ago.  Like always it was a very nice trip.  Before we left I tried to take a couple pictures of the kiddos.  In an effort to try and make the boys give me a natural smile I told them to say, "We love the temple!"  The result - a bunch of pictures of the boys acting silly shouting about the temple and not really paying attention to the camera.  (Oh well, at least we tried.)
